The Medical Annex of the University of Skikda houses Dr. Chiali Hakim, a specialist in general anatomy, and Mr. Drissi Rafiq, a computer engineer specializing in software.

As part of ongoing support and technical and scientific assistance, and in accordance with the instructions of the University Rector regarding the provision of the latest technologies to students of the Medical Annex of the University of Skikda, the University of August 20, 1955 Skikda hosted this morning, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in the Abdelhamid Mahri Grand Amphitheater, the following individuals: Dr. Chiali Hakim, specialist in general anatomy and public health practitioner at the University Hospital Center of Tlemcen and founder of the startup Anatomys; and Mr. Drissi Rafiq, computer engineer specializing in software and 3D simulation, He is the founder and CEO of the startup Digi-Roots XR. He is responsible for the design and implementation of the software component of the "TechRIH" project, Algeria's innovative dissection table. The event took place in the presence of the university director, Professor Tawfiq Boufandi, university administrative staff, representatives from Club MedSol, and a group of specialists, professors, and students from the Faculty of Medicine. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a standing ovation for the Algerian national anthem. This was followed by a welcome speech from the coordinator of the Medical Annex.

In his speech, he emphasized the important role of the innovative Algerian dissection table, which is one of the best and most effective teaching tools in the teaching of anatomy and physiology. Stressing that the 3D dissection table improves the standards of scientific and pedagogical efficiency at our university's Faculty of Medicine, leading to more effective educational outcomes, Dr. Shiali Hakim then presented two lectures entitled : « Anatomie numérique et démarrage d'anatomie diagnostique avancée ».Sa présentation a porté sur l'anatomie numérique, ses étapes de développement et les différents mécanismes et techniques modernes de l'anatomie numérique. M. Drissi Rafiq a également donné une présentation intitulée : « TechRIH Project Presentation.” He presented in detail the innovative Algerian dissection table, which will soon be acquired by the Medical Annex of the University of Skikda. Alongside these two sessions, a presentation was also given to the Annex students on 3D simulation technology in digital dissection. A discussion then took place, allowing the students to share their various questions and concerns. In conclusion, Dr. Shiali Hakim and Mr. Drissi Rafiq were honored by the university director for their efforts. Following these events, they visited the university garden, where they received explanations from the head of the plant propagation unit.
